Types of Oxidation:
1, Natural oxidation, aluminum alloy profiles will react with oxygen in the air in the natural environment, forming a layer of alumina protective layer on the surface, and organizing the internal matrix to continue to react with oxygen. 2, Chemical oxidation: put the aluminum alloy profile after oil and ash removal on the surface into the oxidation solution of oxidant and activator for reaction to form a layer of artificial oxide film. The function of activator is to partially dissolve the oxide film in the formation process and produce pores, so that the oxidation can continue and the oxide film can be thickened. There are many kinds of oxidation solutions, often chromate as oxidant and carbonate as activator. The advantages of chemical oxidation are easy to control and easy to operate. The disadvantages are high cost, environmental pollution, thin oxide film obtained by chemical oxidation and low production capacity.
3, Anodizing is to put aluminum profile into acidic electrolyte solution as anode, apply high-voltage DC to make anion move to anode, generate new oxygen at anode and form oxide film with aluminum alloy of anode. In the electrolyte, acid can locally dissolve the oxide film and produce pores, which makes the oxidation reaction develop in depth. This method makes the surface of aluminum form porous structure, can carry out various coloring treatments, and can be used as the bottom layer of painting. The advantages of anodic oxidation are the thickness of oxide film, more corrosion resistance and batch treatment. Environmental pollution is still a disadvantage. Therefore, oxidation enterprises must set up sewage treatment tanks for up to standard discharge.
